My Resume
  • My design journey is a bit unconventional. When I was a college student, I studied engineering because I wanted my work to have a tangible and positive impact on others. I loved it, but I’ve always been a creative person. So, in the summer of 2020, I decided that I also wanted to pursue a discipline that would allow me to utilize and hone my visual creativity.

I soon discovered UI/UX design and it felt like the door I had been looking for had appeared. I completed Bloc.io’s design bootcamp in 2021 and added a plethora of new skills to my tool belt.

I do have to admit that I’m a bit obsessed with my work. The quality of my designs convey my passion and skill, so every detail has to be just right. When you look at my work, you see me, and this motivates me to strive for excellence. I’ve grown so much both professionally and personally over the years, and I’m grateful every day that I was able to pursue this dream.

  • Reading - I’ve been rebuilding my passion for reading since I finished college. My literary tastes are all over the place, but I think I really like murder mysteries 🕵️‍♀️

Pickleball - Despite the funny sounding name, this is actually an awesome sport. I’ve played in leagues, made new friends, and taken tons of lessons.

Swimming - Learning how to swim has been both a joy and the bane of my existence 🙃 one of my goals for 2026 is to finally master the deep end. Wish me luck!

Reality TV - A lot of them really are trashy, but I swear there are a lot of good ones too! I’m currently watching The Traitors US and impatiently awaiting Survivor 50.

Yoruba Language Lessons - In 2025, I started lessons to learn my family’s native tongue, Yoruba. Being able to communicate with my parents and siblings this way is indescribable, and it’s connected me so deeply with my culture.

  • Be Open to Learning

I’m a huge believer that there’s something to be learned in every role and from every experience. I’m a lifelong learner and willing to admit when I don’t know something - because of this, I’ve developed a broad a set of technical and interpersonal skills that have made me a better designer.

    Everyone/role Matters

Regardless of your title, age, or level of experience, every position in an organization matters. We all work together to achieve the impossible and create high-quality products as a team, and we all deserve to feel seen, heard, and respected.

    Always Ask Why

“Why are we doing this? Why do we use these tools, systems, and processes? Why don’t we solve this problem this way?”

I’ve learned that if you never ask yourself “why” when approaching a problem, you’ll miss out on opportunities to discover more efficient, unique, and effective solutions than the ones you currently have. Questioning the status quo challenges you to think outside of the box and creates room for innovation.

    Defend Good Design

In my current role, there have been more times than I count that I've been expected to comprise good design decisions. Often, the value of design is not understood or underestimated. I've learned that it's my responsibility to develop sound opinions and be firm in sharing my point-of-view. I'm collaborative and professional when working with partners, but I will always stand up for building the best user experiences.

    Every Human Matters

My faith in God plays a big part in my worldview, and it is my belief that every person and every life matters. We are all deserving of love, kindness, and compassion, and I try to live my life and treat people in a way that reflects this.

    Diversity Drives Innovation

Diverse and inclusive perspectives are fundamental to creating thoughtful, creative, and innovative solutions for all people. We need diversity in the workplace and people who are willing to advocate for it.
