Pythagoras
Exploring enhancements and designing beyond expectations.
This is an Enterprise Design project. Due to confidentiality policies at General Motors (GM), I am only able to share limited details about applications I have designed.
Pythagoras is an enterprise web application that processes CAD data used for tasks such as generating 3D vehicle renders.
The original request was straightforward:
Design a progress tracker
Design a status indicator
Display both on the dashboard
But as my first enterprise project, I saw an opportunity to think beyond the request. Instead of adding new features to an outdated experience, I explored what a redesigned dashboard could look like.
That exploration expanded into a full feature redesign.

What began as a small enhancement request evolved into a broader redesign effort, extending the project timeline and expanding its scope.

Timeframe
Design Exploration
After reviewing the existing dashboard, I felt the requested enhancements would improve functionality to a degree but not the overall experience.
Rather than stopping there, I explored a more cohesive vision for the dashboard through new layouts, components, and visual hierarchy.
My manager and stakeholders embraced the direction, and the project evolved beyond its original request.
As the redesign matured, stakeholder engagement grew alongside it.
Meetings became more frequent, additional business and engineering partners joined discussions, and project scope continued to expand as new opportunities emerged.
Building Momentum
Throughout the project, I collaborated with Visual and Content Design partners to refine the experience before presenting prototypes to design leadership.
After incorporating feedback, I created design specifications, completed engineering handoff, and partnered with development throughout implementation.
The redesigned features launched in 2025, followed by continued enhancements and design strategy through January 2026.
Reviews & Delivery
This project reinforced the value of leading with design.
By exploring a broader vision instead of limiting myself to the original request, I helped shift the conversation from individual enhancements to improving the overall experience.
It also marked an important milestone for me personally: seeing my designs built, launched, and used by real users for the first time.
